Use of dicyclohexyl phthalate

Dicyclohexyl phthalate is a solid plasticizer. Good fire resistance, oil resistance, light stability and migration resistance. Cold resistance and plasticizing efficiency are poor. Even if 50 parts are added to PVC, the glass vitrification temperature is only close to room temperature, so it is not suitable as a main plasticizer and can be used for moisture-proof packaging materials. Dicyclohexyl phthalate is used in nitrocellulose and some natural resins to make moisture-proof materials.
Dicyclohexyl phthalate is used as a plasticizer for polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, acrylic resin and nitrocellulose. It can be used together with other plasticizers to shrink the plastic surface and prevent moisture (vapor penetration). The small rate of overshoot and the prevention of volatilization of the plasticizer make the surface of the product smooth and feel good. However, the amount of dicyclohexyl phthalate should not be too large, generally 10 to 20% of the total amount of plasticizer. If the amount is too large, the hardness of the product will increase. It can also be used together with nitrocellulose and some natural resins to make moisture-proof coatings. It can also be used as a synthetic resin adhesive and additive to improve its adhesion, oil resistance and durability. It can also be used as moisture-proof cellophane and paper waterproofing aid. .
