Use of Triethyl phosphate

Triethyl phosphate is a high boiling solvent, plasticizer for rubber and plastics. It is also a catalyst. Also used as a raw material for the production of pesticides. And used as an ethylating agent for ketene production. The main uses of Triethyl phosphate are as follows:
(1) Catalyst. a xylene isomer catalyst; a polymerization catalyst for olefin; a catalyst for producing tetraethyl lead; a catalyst for producing carbodiimide; a catalyst for displacement of trialkylboron and an olefin; a catalyst for producing ketene by high temperature dehydration of acetic acid; A catalyst for the polymerization of ethylene and a conjugated diene compound; if it is used in the polymerization of terephthalic acid or ethylene glycol, it has an effect of preventing discoloration of fibers.
(2) Solvent. a solvent of nitrocellulose and cellulose acetate; a solvent for maintaining the life of the organic peroxide catalyst; a solvent for dispersing the fluorinated ethylene; a peroxide agent and a diluent for the curing catalyst of the polyester resin and the epoxy resin.
(3) Stabilizer. Chlorinated insecticides and stabilizers; stabilizers for phenolic resins; solid agents for sugar alcohol resins.
(4) Synthetic resin. A curing agent for xylenol formaldehyde resin; a softener for phenolic resin used in shell molding; a softener for vinyl chloride; a plasticizer for vinyl acetate; a flame retardant for polyester resin.
